Founded in 2022 by political strategist and media architect Kenn Dowell, SMN was built on one belief: that Black communities deserve a platform they can trust. Not commentary. Not performance. Real conversations, real stakes, and real information — delivered by people who are actually in the work.

Kenn Dowell has spent more than 20 years at the intersection of politics, business, and community power. As Founder and CEO of Strategic Resources Consulting — one of Ohio’s premier political and public affairs firms — he has built a track record of delivering results at the highest levels of the game. His consulting work has supported federal-level leaders including Congresswoman Marcia Fudge and Congresswoman Shontel Brown, helping shape campaigns and civic strategies that moved votes, built coalitions, and changed outcomes.  In 2022, Kenn founded Strategic Moves Media Network as an extension of his core belief: that informed communities are powerful communities. SMN is not a side project — it is the next chapter of a career built entirely around Black civic power. Kenn does not report on the game. He plays it — and SMN is how he teaches others to do the same.
