About Strategic Moves Media Network
Learn about Strategic Moves Media Network — the Black-owned civic media platform founded in 2022 by Kenn Dowell. Reaching 125,000+ monthly viewers and listeners across four original shows. Broadcasting from Cleveland, Ohio.
Our MISSION
Black America is losing its voice — in the voting booth, in the public square, and in the media. Strategic Moves Media Network exists to give it back. Founded in 2022 by political strategist and media architect Kenn Dowell, SMN was built on one belief: that Black communities deserve a platform they can trust. Not commentary. Not performance. Real conversations, real stakes, and real information — delivered by people who are actually in the work.
Our VISION
To become the most trusted civic media institution serving Black communities — beginning in Cleveland and expanding across the nation — by building a powerful platform rooted in truth, accountability, strategy, and community empowerment. Strategic Moves Media Network envisions a future where Black voices are no longer marginalized, manipulated, or ignored, but fully represented in the conversations that shape policy, culture, economics, faith, and political power.

The Strategic Moves Media Network exists because control of our narrative matters. For too long, our stories, our leadership, and our brilliance have been filtered through someone else’s lens. This network is ownership — cultural, political, and intellectual ownership. We built this to amplify real voices and frame real conversations about Cleveland and the larger Black experience. Every show on this network stands for something: truth, excellence, and accountability. Cleveland has always been a test market for power — whether in politics, business, or culture. The Strategic Moves Media Network is about making sure that power now reflects our people and our priorities.”
